Yes there is a drought going on in Texas and it is especially evident in the South Texas brush country. While the drought may be restricting spectacular wildflower displays, there are still plenty of wildflowers if you look for them. There are lots and lots of low growing flowers. Between the drought and windy conditions, it’s not the easiest thing to shoot flowers right now, but they are there and when it gets hotter they won’t be so I’ve been shooting like crazy to show the beauty that exists on the Q5 ranch if you just look for it. Here are a few of the images I’ve captured so far.
